Home of Judge William Hoskins
Submitted by: Dorrie Simon
Dorrie Writes:
I do have an article on when John Hall and William Hoskins came from Indiana
- they were next door neighbors of Abraham Lincoln's family in Indiana. So
later Abe stayed with Judge Hoskins when he came to speak in Bureau County.
The home of Judge William Hoskins at Searl's Ridge is also from the Bureau
County Centennial Edition, printed June 3, 1937 and reprinted in 1972. His
son Jesse Hoskins married Melissa Searl, daughter of Brown Searl (my
g-g-g-grandfather).
