Reagan Birthplace
When Jack and Nelle Reagan raised their children, the kitchen became symbolic of every kitchen of early 1900. Like most kitchens of this era, the water was carried from an outside pump, the coal was carried from a cob house to the kitchen range, and the bath water was heated on the majestic range. The dry sink from the Nicely family, the cupboard from the Hamilton family of Augusta, IL, the kitchen table from the Strums family, the majestic range from the H.C. Pitney Store and the ice box from the Crosell family, sets the mood of Nelle and Jack Reagan's first home.
