Contract for sale of lot 11

Submitted by Connie Essig Sale contract for lot 11,Essex, N.Y. dated 1822, from Debrah McKenzie to John McKenzie. Transcription of contract: This Indenture made this twelf (sic) day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & twenty two between Deborah McKENZIE of the town of Moriah County of Essex and state of New York of the first part and John McKENZIE of the same place of the second part Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of twenty dollars to the first party paid by the said second party the reciet (sic) whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged hath granted Bargained sale and quitclaimed (sic) unto the said party of the second part all that certain tract parcel on piece of land known and described by lot No. 11 on Leggs Pattent and bounded as discribed by Mr. George Webster survey of the same Together with all and singular the (here dataments?) and aprentence (sic) arces (sic) there unto belonging or in anywise belonging. In witness whereof the said party of the first doth here unto set her hand and seal this twelf (sic) day of March one thousand eight hundred and twenty two.
