RICHARD  E.  BOUND

 

Prophetstown: - Richard E. Bound, 67, of 308 Park Avenue, Prophetstown, died Oct. 27, 1991 at his home.

 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Congregational Church, Prophetstown, with Dr. David Hottenstein, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Prophetstown. Visitation from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Gardner Funeral home, Prophetstown.  A memorial has been established.

 

Mr. Bound was born Mar. 24, 1927 in Prophetstown, the son of Earl and Evangeline (McGrady) Bound. He was a 1945 graduate of Prophetstown High School, and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.  He married Berneice May Nelson, June 27, 1964 in Kewanee. He was employed for ten years at Fritz's DX Service, rural Prophetstown;  for 17 years at Blair's Service Station, Prophetstown; and he was employed for a short time at McNeill Twins Oil Co., Prophetstown, retiring in 1985.  He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Kewanee, and life member of American Legion Post #522, Prophetstown, and a member of the First Congregational Church, Prophetstown.

 

He is survived by his wife; one daugher, Mrs. Tim (Tammy) Shaver, Lyndon; one son, Richard G., Kewanne, two grandsons; one sister, Mrs. Kent (Ardith) Pobanz, Ballwin, Mo.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents.
