MARION H. GASKIILL DIES UNEXPECTEDLY - SERVICES FRIDAY
TAMPICO - Marion Harvey Gaskill, 51, died unexpectedly at Community General Hospital, Sterling, Tuesday eveing.


Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the UMC, Tampico, with Rev. Raymond good officiating. Burial will be in he TMC.

He was born October 9, 1918, near Walnut, the son of Harry & Laura Gaskill. He received his educationin the Harmon school.

He married Doris Buikema in Sterling, Aug. 5, 1944.

He was a member of the UMC, American Legion, Tampico Volunteer Fire Dept., VFW and had served on the Tampico Grade School Board for a number of years; and was a boy scout leader. He had been employed by the Tampico Telephone Co. for 25 years.

He is survived by a widow; three sons, Terry, Dennis Marion, Ricky; one granddaughter, Teresa Lynn Gaskill; three sisters, Mrs. Charles (Lucille) Smith, Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs. Frank (Jane) Fluck, Mrs. Harold (Evelyn) Hawkins, both of Sterling; tow brtohers, Leslie, California; Dale, colorado.

Friends may call at the Schmitt Funeral Chapel after 2 p.m. Thursday.

Funerals

Tampico - Services for M. H. Gaskill, 51, of Tampico were held at Tampico United Methodist Church, Friday, May 1, at 1:30 p.m., Rev. Raymond Good officiating. Kenneth Stabler sang "Nearer My God to Thee" accompanied at organ by Mrs. David Hoover.

Flowers were cared for by Mrs. Ann Nelson; Mrs. Gladys Pierce and Hillcrest Greenhouse. Usher at church was Dyson Kepner.

Active pallbearers were: Archie Yarde, Jr.; Bruce Setchell, Floyd Glick, Howaard Ackeberg, Earl Kranz, and Wayne Harms. Honorary bearers were Larry Pratt, Lawrence Batten, Leo Cable, Wilson Berge, James Hall and  William Ritenour.

Interment was in Tampico Memorial Cemetery.
