MEDA  A. (Lella) HILL  HALE

 

Mrs. Henry Hale Succumbs Saturday

 

Prophetstown:  Mrs. Henry Hale, 78, of Tulsa, Okla., passed away Saturday Aug. 31, at the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Erickson of Morrison.

 

She was visiting relatives and friends here and had attended the wedding of her niece, Rita Hill Anderson, the night before.

 

Meda A. (Lella) Hill was born June 13, 1890 in Nebraska, the daughter of Chester Grant and Ella Amanda Shinkle Hill. She moved to Prophetstown as a child and lived in Prophetstown until her marriage to Henry Hale of Sheffield on Feb. 16, 1909. She lived in Tulsa, Okla., until her recent passing. Her husband preceded her on Dec. 20, 1961.

 

Her survivors include one daugher, Mrs. Jack Jacobson of Tulsa; three grandchildren, Mrs. Steve Shalla, Raymond and Janet Jacobson; one great grandson, Timothy Kent Shalla; one half-sister, Mrs. Clarence Erickson of Morrison; one-half brother, Clifford Hill of Prophetstown.

 

Ellis Hill, another half-brother preceded her in death on June 10, 1961.
