JOHN EDLESSON


John Edlesson, 82, Dies in Princeton

 

Manlius: - John Edlesson, 82, of Manlius, a retired farmer passed away yesterday at the Perry Memorial Hospital, Princeton.

 

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Manlius, the Rev. Elwood Anderson officiating with burial in Manlius Cemetery.

 

The family will not be in attendance, but friends may call at the Johnson Funeral Home Friday afternoon and evening. The body will lie in state at the Trinity Lutheran Church Saturday from 12 o'clock until time of services.  A memorial has been directed to the Trinity Lutheran Church memorial fund.

 

John Edlesson was born March 19, 1884 in Manlius, the son of Peter and Engeline Clausten Edlesson.  He married Elsi Anspach in Manlius on March 10, 1909.  He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church since 1906.

 

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Beaulah) Wessel of Walnut;  Mrs. Horace (Ruby) Setterlof of Mount Carroll; Mrs. Garland (Ona) Oiler of Louisville, Ky., two sons, Robert of Ohio;  Delbert of Manlius; 14 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Dora Thomas of Kewanee.

 

He was preceded by his parents, one son, one daughter and three sisters.
