William G. Metcalf

           

            LYNDON – William G. Metcalf, 90, died Friday, July 18, 2008 at Morrison Community Hospital.

            Bill was born December 4, 1917 in Bloomington, IL, the son of George S. and Myrtle A. (Pete) Metcalf. He married June E. Scott on October 25, 1938 in Lyons, IA. Bill was employed as a Tool and Die Maker for Drives, Inc, in Fulton until retiring in 1986.     

            Survivors include his wife, June of Lyndon; two daughters, DeeDee (Joe) Szymanski of Dixon and Barb (Richard) Hadcock of Walnut; two sons, William Metcalf and Dennis (Jill) Metcalf, both of Lyndon; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren.

            Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls with Rev. Andy Ploenzke of the Prophetstown Congregational Church officiating. Burial was in Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling.
