MILDRED  E.  (McRae) DEVORE

 

Tampico: - Mildred E. Devore, 79, of 302 Booth St., Tampico, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 1996 in Swedish Ameerican Hospital, Rockford.

 

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Tampico Church of Chirst, Tampico, with the Rev. Willard Kelly, Pastor of the Rockford Central Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be at Tampico Memorial Cemetery, Tampico. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Garland Funeral Home, Tampico.

 

A memorial has been established for the Tampico Church of Christ.

 

Mrs. Devore was born Oct. 31, 1916, in Wymore, Neb., the daughter of Melvin and Elenore (Rowlins) McRae. She married Clarke Devore on Aug. 21, 1938., in Bayard, Neb. She was an active member of the Tampico Church of Christ.

 

Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Clarke Devore of Tampico; two daughters, Joan Fort and Phyllis (Otis) Leathers, both of Rockford; one son, Richard Devore of Rochelle; 10 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, Raymond McRae of Lander, Wyo.; one sister, Vera (Fred) Sickler of El Cajon, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by one son, one grandchild, one sister, and one brother.
