PEARL  (Luning)  GRAU

 

Mrs. Pearl Grau, 83, Dies In Hospital

 

Prophetstown: - Mrs. Pearl (Annis) Grau, 83, passed away Thursday morning at the Morrison Community Hospital.

 

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Gardner Chapel, Prophetstown, the Rev. Preston Woods officiating with burial  in Riverside Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home Friday afternoon and evening.



Pearl Grau was born March 4, 1884 in Dana, the daughter of William and Mary (Anthony) Luning. She lived in Erie, Lyndon and Prophetstown communities and was educated in the Dana County schools.  She married Bernard Grau of Flannigan on Oct. 5 1904, in Pontiac. They lived at Dana for 18 years, moving to Whiteside County in 1923.

 

She is survived by two sons, John and Lester Grau, both of Morrison; one daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Ethel) Lindskog of Prophetstown; six grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

 

She was preceded by her parents, husband, two brothers and six sisters.
