HELEN  ELIZABETH  (Hamblock)  SCHAUFF

 

Mrs. Hubert Schauff Succumbs Thursday

 

Tampico: - Mrs. Hubert Schauff, 67, of Tampico, passed away Thursday morning in the Sterling Community General Hospital following a short illness.

 

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tampico, preceded by prayer services at the Schmitt Chapel at 10 a.m.  The Rev. Robert P. Donavan will officiate, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Tampico.

 

Friends may call at the funeral home this evening (Friday) where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m

 

Helen Elizabeth Schauff was born Sept. 15, 1900 in Tampico, the daughter of Joseph J. and Nellie Hamblock. She was educated in the Tampico schools and married Hubert Schauff on July 7, 1920 in the St. Mary's Church of Tampico.  She lived in the Tampico area all her life.  She was a member of the St. Mary's Church, Altar and Rosary Society and Royal Neighbors of America.

 

She is survived by her husband, Deer Grove, one son, Leo of Deer Grove;  two daughters, Mrs. William (Marilyn) Shaffer of Peoria;  Mrs. Roger (Joyce) Anderson of Madison, Conn.;  three brothers,  Jean Hamblock of Deer Grove;  Neil and Joseph of Tampico;  one sister, Mrs. Oliver (Mary) Johnson of Rock Falls,  three grandsons and five granddaughters.

 

She was preceded by her parents.
