HAROLD  CLEMENT  WARKINS

 

Harold C. Warkins Succumbs Friday

 

Prophetstown: - Harold C. Warkins, 49, passed away Friday morning at his home in Mount Morris.

 

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Gardner Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Ralph Ryberg officiating, with burial in Riverside Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday afternoon and evening.

 

Harold Clement Warkins was born Feb. 2, 1918 in Ashton,  the son of Louis and Ada B. Warkins.  He was educated in the Ashton and Sterling schools.  He moved to Mount Morris from Prophetstown 11 years ago.  He married Edith Neulle of Prophetstown on Jan. 3, 1940.  He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Mount Morris.

 

He is survived by his widow, two sons, David of Mount Morris, Richard of State Teachers College, Peru, Neb.; one daughter, Susan of Mount Morris;  four brothers, John of Prophetstown; Clifford of Erie; Lyle of Harmon; Lewis of Geneseo; three sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Lois) Clark of Sterling; Mrs. Lucille Ashpole of Pearl City; Mrs. Claude (Grace) Powell of Lake Ozark, Mo., and one grandchild.

 

He was preceded by his parents and one sister.
