MILDRED  PAULINE  (Crosell)  JOHNSON

 

Prophetstown: - Mrs. Fred (Mildred) Johnson, 59, of Prophetstown, passed away Friday afternoon at her home in Yorktown.

 

Funeral services will be held at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Yorktown, Monday at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. Emil Blobaum officiating, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Prophetstown.

 

Friends may call at the Gardner Funeral Chapel Sunday evening. A memorial has been established for the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Yorktown in her name.

 

Mildred Pauline Johnson was born June 21, 1907 in Bureau County, the daughteer of Olaf and Jennie (Anderson) Crosell. She was educated in the Cloverdale and Prophetstown schools, and married Fred Johnson of Prophetstown Feb 13, 1931 in Morrison. She lived in the Prophetstown and Yorktown areas her entire lifetime and in her last residence for 11 years. She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Yorktown.

 

She is survived by her husband, four sons, Wendell of Palatine; David of Lombard; Melvin of Tampico; Allan at home; one brother, Vernon Crosell of Glen View and five grandchildren.

 

She was preceded by her parents and one brother, Stanley.
