LILY  VIOLET  (FREBY)  RESBERG

 

Mrs. Lily Resberg, 77, Dies In Hospital

 

Prophetstown: - Mrs. Lily (Oscar) Resberg, 77, a housewife of Prophetstown, passed away Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the Morrison Community Hospital, where she had been a patient for 11 days.

 

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Gardner Funeral Home, Prophetstown, the Rev. Joseph Stoube officiating, with burial in Yorktown Cemetery.

 

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday afternoon and evening.

 

Lily Violet Freby was born Oct. 15, 1889 in Tampico, the daughteer of Frank and Cora (Rowe) Freby. She was educated in the Tampico schools. She married Oscar Resberg of Tampico Feb. 27, 1912 in Geneva, and she lived in the Yorktown, Tampico and Prophetstown areas all her life. She was a member of the Tampico Baptist Church.

 

She is survived by her husband, one son, Ronald O. Resberg of Milan; one daughter, Mrs. Harold E. (Mary) Anderson of Prophetstown; three brothers, William Freby of Earlville, Lawrence Gleason of Galesburg, Richard Gleason of California, one sister, Mrs. Birdie Christopherson of California; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

 

She was preceded by her paretns, one son, John William, and one brother, Earl.
