ELI  ANDREW  FURRY

 

Retired Tampico Farmer Succumbs

 

Tampico:  Eli Andrew Furry, 84, Tampico, died Thursday morning at Moline after an extended illness. 

 

Visitation will be held after 1 p.m. Friday in the Schmitt Chapel, Tampico.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the chapel by the Rev. Raymond Good of the Tampico United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery.

 

Eli Andrew Furry was born in Tennessee June 16, 1885, the son of John and Anna Forrer. He was united in marriage with Dora Hansen Fullerton Sept. 28, 1918 in Davenport, Iowa. He had resided in Tampico vicinity for the past 60 years and farmed for many years before retiring and moving in to Tampico.

 

Surviving with the widow, Mrs. Dora Furry of Tampico, are a step-son, Edward Fullerton and a grandson, Stacy Fullerton, both of Prophetstown and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
