Anna D. Burdsall Dies Thursday


Prophetstown: - Mrs. Anna D. Burdsall, 95, died in Fulton at the Harbor Crest home Thursday morning.  She had been a resident of the home for three years.

 

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Congregational Church in Prophetstown with the Rev. Daniel Boxwell officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Gardner Funeral Home in Prophetstown.  A memorial has been established for the Congregational Church.

 

Anna D. Burdsall was born June 16, 1879 in Hume Township, the daughter of William H. and Susan Cornelia Adams Reed.  She lived in the Prophetstown area and was a member of the Congregational Church in Prophetstown. She married Walter W. Burdsall in Prophetstown on Feb. 8, 1899. They farmed in the Prophetstown area until 1913 when they moved into Prophetstown.

 

Survivors include two sons, Howard R. Burdsall of Prophetstown and Lester W. Burdsall of New Port Richey, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Verna M. Johnson of Prophetstown; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded by her parents, her husband, two brothers, two sisters, two half-sisters, one half-brother and two grandchildren.
