ESTHER  GLADYS  (Jensen)  RICHARDS

 

Esther Richards Dies Tuesday

 

Prophetstown: - Mrs. Haraley (Esther) Richards, 60, died Wednesday morning at KSB Hospital in Dixon.

 

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Gardner Chapel with the Rev. Dale Erickson, pastor of Erie Christian Church, officiating.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Gardner Chapel.  A memorial has been established for the Cancer Fund.

 

Esther Gladys Richards was born Jan. 28, 1914, the daughter of Botvid and Annie Larson Jensen. She was educated in the Hillsdale schools and attended college at DeKalb and Macomb.  She married Harley Richards in the Little Brown Church at Nashua, Iowa on June 16, 1950. She was a retired schoolteacher and resided in Prophetstown since her marriage.

 

Survivors include her husband; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Royer of Rock Falls; one brother, John Jensen of Mtn. Home, Ark.  She was preceded by one brother, Harold.
