CALLIE  IRENE  (Ballard)  RICHARDS

 

Callie Richards Services Sunday

 

Prophetstown: - Mrs. Callie Richards, 63, former Prophetstown resident, died Friday morning at Fondulac Nursing Home in East Peoria.

 

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Gardner Chapel with the Rev. Dick Mayer officiating.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.

 

Callie Irene Ballard was born March 2, 1911 in Geneseo, the daughter of Andrew and Clara Smith Ballard. She was educated in Geneseo and Erie schools.  She married Perry Richards in Animosa, Iowa on Sept. 17, 1929.  She moved to Mineral from Prophetstown in 1959. She was employed for several years as an LPN in Kewanee hospitals.

 

Survivors include one son, Glenn of Farmer City, Ill.; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. John (Margaret) Reiley of Mineral, Mrs. Ida Brandt of Mineral, Mrs. Helen Hansen of Kewanee, and Mrs. Opal Sw--son of Prophetstown; and two brothers, Delbert Ballard of Mineral and Chaester Ballard of Fenton.

 

She was preceded by her husband in 1973, one brother and one sister.
