Mrs. Hans Olson Succumbs Friday
 
Walnut: - Mrs. Hans (Justine) Olson, 85, died Friday at Walnut Manaor Nursing home.
 
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church in Walnut with Father Fagen officiating.  Burial will be in Walnut Cemetery.  Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Ross Funeral Home in Walnut.  Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
 
The former Justine Herrmann was born Oct. 7, 1889 in Ettelbruck, Luxemborg.  She came to American on March 21, 1920 and for the next two years was a personal maid for the Veilie family who resided where the Plantation is in Moline.  She married Hans Olson on April 8, 1922 in Mason City, Iowa and resided there a number of years before moving go rural Walnut.  She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, the Normandy Community Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, War Mothers and the Altar and Rosary Society.
 
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Lilly) O'Dell of Walnut and one son, Harry Olson of Walnut.  She was preceded by her husband.
