Mrs. Jennie Kimmel Succumbs Saturday

 

Morrison: - Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Jennie Kimmel, 84, Morrison, who died Saturday in the Eveningside Nursing Home.

 

The Rev. Bruce Breneman of the First Methodist Church will officiate with burial in Grove Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Reynolds Funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.

 

Jennie Craddock Kimmel was born Nov. 28, 1886 in Bureau County, the daughter of Delos and Minnie Craddock. She was educated in the Tampico schools and the Girton Ladies Finishing School near Chicago.  On Nov. 26, 1910, she was married to Lester L. Kimmel in Tampico. The couple then resided in the Chicago area before returning to the Morrison area in 1948.

 

Jennie Kimmel was a member of the Ruth Circle of the Methodist Church of Morrison and the Morrison Garden Club.

 

Survivors include one son, Neal, Morrison;  five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Boyd, one grandson and two sisters.
