Mrs. Bert Price, 76, Of Deer Grove, Dies; Rites Are Conducted Monday
 
Tampico: - Mrs. Bert Price, 76, of Deer Grove died at Community General Hospital in Sterling Saturday. She entered the hospital Thursday for observation and treatment and had been in failing health for several years.
 
Rev. Joe Wa------- read funeral rites this afternoon at the Parent Funeral Home. Burial was in Tampico Memorial Cemetery.  A recording of "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" was played at the funeral.
 
Pallbearers were Ortho and Raymond Spears, Raymond Stevens, Jacob Lauff, Charles Broers and Elmer Jones.  Mrs. Otho Spears, Mrs. Raymond Spears and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Fullerton had charge of flowers.
 
Mrs. Price was born Ada E. Murphy in Putnam county, April 23, 1876, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison H. Murphy.  She and James Albert Price were married Dec. 22, 1897, and she had lived on a farm between Deer Grove and Tampico most of her adult life.
 
Surviving are her husband; a son, Garnet, and a daughter, Mrs. Monafae Wetzell, at Tampico; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Della Mathis, in Rock Falls, and a brother, William Murphy, at Olivet, Mich.  Three brothers
