Charles F. Brants, 83, Dies On Wednesday
 
Hooppole: - Charles Franklin Brants, 83, of Hooppole, passsed away Wednesday morning at his home. 
 
Private services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Gardner Funeral Chapel, Prophetstown, the Rev. Lewis Mills, pastor of Calvary E.C. Church of Hooppole officiating, with burial in Hooppole Cemetery.  There will be no visitation.
 
Charles Brants was born March 28, 1884 in Yorktown Township, the son of Cornelius and Tillie Luther Brants.  He was educated in the Brown School.  He married Emma Houch of Yorktown Dec. 26, 1907 in Tampico.  They farmed in the Hooppole community moving to Hooppole in 1944.
 
He is survived by his widow, one son Raymond of Hooppole, nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
 
He was preceded by his parents, one son Harold, one daughter, Mrs. Lee (Jean) Osborne, one brother and two sisters.
