Harry Eshelman Dies In Arkansas
 
Prophetstown: - Harry F. Eshelman, 76, passed away in Fayetteville, Ark., where he had been a resident for the past six yers. He was a former farmer in the Hoopole area before moving to Prophetstown, where he resided for forty years.  He was a carpenter. 

He married Clara Binks, of Kewanee, Sept. 15, 1914. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Prophetstown, and active in the Union Veterans. 
 
He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Charlotte Cook, in the state of Washington; two sons, Delbert, San Bernardino, Calif., Donald of Palo Alto, Calif; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren; two brothers, George of Hoopole, and Ed, Rock Island.  He was preceded by his parents, one sister, Edith; two brothers Jim and Ernest.
 
Following services Tuesday in Fayetteville, the body will arrive in Prophetstown at the Gardner Funeral Chapel where friends may call Wednesday evening. Services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at the First Methodist Church, with the Rev. Paul Olson officiating. Burial will be in the Hoopole Cemetery.

Prophetstown: - Funeral services for Harry F. Eshelman, age 76, who passed away in Fayetteville, Ark., were held in Fayetteville Tuesday, Jan. 18, after which the body was taken to Prophetstown, where he had resided prior to his move to Arkansas.
 
The Gardner Funeral home of Prophetstown was in charge of the arrangements here, and services were held in Prophetstown, Thursday, Jan. 20 at the First Methodist Church, at one-thirty in the afternoon.
 
Members of the Philarracca Class of the Church and of the Reading Club of the community which Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Eshelman were associated with closely while residents here, held a dinner at the church dining room for members of the family and friends prior to the service with fifty persons present. 
 
The rev. Paul Olson officated for the church services which followed.  Cecil Olinger served as the soloist singing How Great Thou Art with Vincent Olmstead serving as the organist.
 
Burial was at the Hooppole Cemetery with LaRue Parrill, Merle Kemp, Elmer Anderson, Carrell Bleitz, Wayne Lyon and Harry Hammond, Erie, serving as pallbearers.  In charge of the lovely floral tributes were Mrs. Harry Hammond, Erie, Mrs. Merle Kemp, and Mrs. Mabael Woodworth.
 
Relatives from out of town were overnight guests of George Metzner who cared for the Delbert Eshelman of San Bernardino, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. John Sibley with whom Mrs. Harry Eshelman stayed. Don Eshelman of Palo Alto, Calif., stayed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy May and Mrs. Charlotte Cook of the state of Washington stayed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Johnson.  Mrs. Don Eshelman came by plane from Palo Alto, Calif., arrived Thursday a.m. at the Moline airport and was met by local friends and brought to Prophetstown.
