VERONICA  ALICE  (Dineen)  ELMENDORF 

Veronica Elmendorf Rites On Saturday 

Tampico: -  Veronica Alice Elmendorf, 70, died unexpectedly after an illness of a few days on Tuesday, Jan. 22.  She was born in Platte County, Neb., Oct. 1, 1892, the daughter of John F. and Ella Dineen. She received her education in the Nebraska schools. She married Guy J. Elmendorf on June 14, 1921, in Columbus, Neb.  She had resided in Tampico for 42 years. She and her husband operated a grocery store in Tampico for many years.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. 

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Henel) Adams, Tampico;  Miss Mary Elmendorf, Normal, and Mrs. Louis (Milfred) Balika of Aurora;  two sisters, Mrs. Agnes LaViolette of North Bend, Neb., and Miss Helen Dineen of Columbus, Neb.;  seven grandchildren and three nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband in 1955.  Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Tampico.  Rev. A. M. Weitekamp will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Tampico. The Rosary will be recited at the Schmitt Chapel in Tampico Friday at 8 p.m  Friends may call at the Chapel after 2 p.m. Thursday.
