ADELAIDE  (Stowell)  BURROUGHS 

Mrs. A. Burroughs Succumbs; Funeral At Leon Monday 

Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Adelaide Burroughs of Las Animas, Colorado, which occurred Friday morning. The body will arrive at Barstow Monday morning by train and be brought to Prophetstown by F L. Dudley, funeral director.  Funeral rites will be at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon in the Leon Church, south of Prophetstown, with burial in the Leon Cemetery

The deceased was a former resident of Prophetstown and lived just west of the Leon Corners.  She was the widow of the late C. R. Burroughs and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Stowell. Two sons, Dr. L. L. Burroughs of Oak Park and Burdette Burroughs of California, and one daughter, Mrs. Luella Warner of Las Animas, Colo., survive. She also leaves one brother, Wilbur Stowell of Oklahoma.  Mrs. Burroughs had been a resident of Colorado for the past 10 years.
