Gustave Steinke Dies At Deer Grove

Gustave Steinke of Deer Grove passed away yesterday morning at 6:30 o'clock at the St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, where he had been confined for the past eight weeks.  Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the late home and at 9:30 o'clock at St. Mary's Church in Tampico.  Burial will be in the Tampico Cemetery.

Mr. Steinke resided on a farm just at the edge of Deer Grove.  For the past several years he has been road commissioner in his district.  He has a wide circle of friends, who will regret to hear of his death.  Besides his wife he leaves seven children.  An obituary will be published later.

(checking several later editions produced no obituary in The Daily Gazette).
