BERTHA  M  (Pierce)  NORMAN 

Bertha M. Norman, 86, Moosehaven, Fla., died Monday morning at Moosehaven Hospital in Orange Park, Fla.  Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral home with Rev. Phillip Lamar of the First Congregational Church of Rock Falls officiating, with burial at the Tampico Memorial Cemetery, Tampico.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. 

Mrs. Norman, the daughter of the Rev. Benjamin F. and Mary Pierce, was born in Ohio on May 12, 1886.  She was united in marriage to James A. Norman, who preceded her in death in 1923.  She was a housemother at the Mooseheart Home and a member of the Moose Lodge of Moosehaven, Fla.  She is survived by two sons, Judge James A. Norman, Coos Bay, Ore., and Robert, Pennsylvania; four daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Doris) Ellis, Aurora;  Mrs. Alberto (Dorothy) Arriola, Santa Monica, Calif.;  Mrs. Marvin (Madilyn) Lutyens, Rock Falls, and Mrs. Everett (Lois) Davies, Rockford; one sister, Viola Pierce, Columbus, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, two brothers and one sister.
