TAMPICO – Ethel M. “Bobbie” Forward, 93, of 2128 Tampico Road, Tampico, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, at Walnut Manor Nursing Home.

She was born April 29, 1916, in Decatur, the daughter of Grover and Emma (Hartman) Etherton. Bobbie was united in marriage to Albert Forward on Dec. 23, 1950, in Geneseo. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Bill (Norma Jean) McPheron of Decatur; numerous nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews, including Helen (John) Buckley and Julie (Bruce) Dexter and son, Michael, all of Tampico, Gina Ramos and son, Cody of Tennessee, and Jessie (Don) Skibbe and three daughters, Taylor, McKenzie, and Rylie of Sterling.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and three sisters.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Tampico Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Monty Fox, pastor of Tampico United Methodist Church, officiating. Private visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Garland Funeral Home, Tampico.

A memorial has been established in her memory.
