August Anderson Funeral Rites To Be Held Saturday

Funeral services for August Anderson, who died at 9:10 p.m. Sunday in Mercede General Hospital, Gustin, Calif., will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Melvin Funeral Home, with Rev. David Jefford, pastor of the Free Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial will be in the Tampico Memorial Cemetery.

The body arrived in Sterling Thursday morning and was taken to the Melvin Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. tonight.

He was born April 18, 1868 in Sweden and came to this country as a young man, farming in the Tampico and Sterling area for a number of years.  Following his retirement he moved to California about six years ago to make his home with a daughter, Mrs. Donald E. Reece, Bunker Ranch, Rt. 1, Gustin, Calif.

Surviving are one son, Kenneth Anderson, Sterling, and the daughter, Mrs. Reece.  His wife preceded him in death.
