Mona L. Prestley

July 27, 1937 - July 26, 2010

MONA L. PRESTLEY, 72, of Morrison, IL, died Monday, July 26, 2010, at Four Seasons Living Center in Morrison.

Mona was born July 27, 1937, in Ashmore, IL, to Herman and Olive (Childress) Hallman. She was educated in the Walnut, IL grade schools and graduated from Walnut High School in 1955. She married Arnold “Arnie” F. Prestley on May 2, 1959 in Walnut. He died June 11, 1995. Mona was retired from General Electric in Morrison. She later worked for Kay Brandau Design in Morrison. She was a member of the Morrison United Methodist Church where she did volunteer work. She also was a member of the GEM Club and was a docent for the Morrison Historical Society.

Survivors include one daughter, Kimberley Prestley of Berwyn, IL; one son, Mark (Deanna) Prestley of Platte City, MO; five grandchildren, Grace, Amanda, Nicholas, Kiel and Cody; three great grandchildren; one sister, Myrna (Gerald) Schauff of Tampico, IL; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnie; one sister, Myril Buhler; two brothers, David and Devon.

Funeral Information

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 A.M. Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison, IL

OFFICIATING: Rev. Dave Davies, Pastor of Albany United Methodist Church in Albany, IL

VISITATION: 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Grove Hill Cemetery - Morrison, IL
