Abram Thompson Rites Conducted Saturday

Prophetstown: -  Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon in the First Methodist Church of Prophetstown for Abram Thompson, 63, who passed away Wednesday afternoon.

The Rev. William Nicoll, pastor, officiated for the service with Mrs. Calvin Schuneman at the organ. Serving as pallbearers were:  Frank Dudley, Jack and John McNeill, Arthur Ackeberg, Ted Clary and Henry Thormahlen.

Floral arrangements were in charge of Mrs. Art Ackeberg, Mrs. Ted Clary, Mrs. Henry Thormahlen, Mrs. Ellen Kinger, Mrs. Harold Martin and Mrs. Craig Finnicum. 

Graveside services were conducted by members of the Masonic Lodge.

Business houses closed between the hours of 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. in the respect to Abram Thompson who was very active in civic affairs and a prominent business man.
