MARIANNA  (Merema)  CARLSEN

Mrs. Keith (Marianna) Carlsen, 52, of Rt 2, Sheffield, died Thursday evening in Swedish American Hospital in Rockford following a long illness.  Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Yorktown with Rev. J. LeMont, pastor, and Rev. Richard Anderson, pastor of the Tampico Baptist Church officiating, with burial in Tampico Cemetery.  Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Allen-Schmitt-Garland Funeral Chapel in Tampico.  A memorial has been established in her memory.

Mrs. Carlsen was born May 2, 1927 in Morrison, the daughter of William and Ada Smith Merema.  She was united in marriage to Keith J. Carlsen on Dec. 26, 1959. She had worked at the General Electric office in Morrison and Fidelity Insurance Company in Fulton as a bookkeeper before retiring 20 years ago.  She was a member of the Circle of Prayer at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Yorktown.

Mrs. Carlsen is survived by her husband, Keith, and one sister, Mrs. Gladys Renkes of Garden Plain.  She was preceded by her parents and one sister in infancy.
