FLORENCE  MARIE  (Lauff)  HEDRICK

Bloomington, Ind:  -  FLORENCE  MARIE  Lauff  HEDRICK  -  88, formerly of Sterling, died Nov. 2, 1993, in Bloomington, Ind.  The body will lie in state from 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of service at St. Mary's Church, Sterling; followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 10:230 a.m. at the church.  Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Tampico. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Grennan Funeral home, Sterling.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Retired Sisters of Loretto and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Mrs. Hedrick was born Nov. 14, 1904 in Whiteside County, the daughter of Joseph and Hattje (Murphy) Lauff.  She graduated from St. Mary High School (now Newman) in 1922 and from Brown Business College in 1923.  She married Wythe E. "Bill" Hedrick, June 16, 1921. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and for the American Cancer Society in Sterling for many years.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sterling.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Bob (Allison) Lendman of Spencer, Ind., and Marilyn Hermes of Sterling; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1963; one brother, Arthur J. Lauff of Jacksonville; and one grandson.
