CHESTER  N.  NORMAN

Chester N. Norman, 63, of 109 E. Foster, Ludington, Michigan, a former area resident, died Thursday morning in the VA Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan.  Graveside services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Greenville-Fairfield Cemetery in New Bedford.  Visitation will be held Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Allen Funeral Home.  A memorial has been established in his memory.

Mr. Norman was born on July 31, 1923 in New Bedford, the son of John and Pearl (Wescott) Norman. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and served with the U.S. Marines during World War II.

He is survived by two sons, Cassius Norman of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Scott Norman of Sterling, three grandchildren and four brothers, Leonard and Glenn Norman, both of Rock Falls, George Norman of Rosebush, Michigan, and Clifford Norman of Vancouver, Washington; one sister, Mrs. Willard (Anna Mae) Baldwin of Rock Falls, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
