NIELS  S.  HANSEN

Niels S. Hansen, 84, of 325 McDonald St., Walnut, died in his home early Sunday morning.  Funeral services for Mr. Hansen will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Allen-Garland Funeral Home with Rev. James O. Davis, pastor of the Walnut United Methodist Church and Rev. Clark J. Moushon, pastor of the Milledgeville, officiating, with burial in Walnut Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.  A memorial has been established in his memory.

Mr. Hansen was born on Oct. 30, 1895 in Gardner, the son of Jorgen and Johannah Sorensen Hansen.  He was united in marriage to the former Karen M. Petersen on Dec. 30, 1926 in Los Angeles, Calif.  The couple farmed their entire in (----------- missing words) 1960 and to Walnut.  He was a member of the Walnut United Methodist Church.

Mr. Hansen is survived by his wife, Karen; one daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Carol) Von Holten of Walnut; two sons, Richard N. and Glenn D., both of Walnut; two sisters Mrs. Meth Christensen of Dwight and Mrs. Emma Fatlan of Gardner; 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one gret-grandchild.
