HAZEL  May  (Breed)  FOY 

 

Bellflower, Calif: - Mrs. Hazel May Foy, 90,  15113 Cabell Ave., Bellflower, Calif., formerly of Tampico, died Tuesday afternoon in her home following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at the Tampico Church of Christ with the Rev. Dennis Peterson of Des Moines, Iowa, officiating. Burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Allen-Schmitt-Garland Funeral Chapel on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established in her memory to the Arthritis Foundation.

Hazel Foy was born on Aug. 16, 1894 in Bureau County, the daughter of William and Martha Hall Breed.  On Dec. 25, 1912, she was united in marriage to Ralph U. Foy.  He preceded her in death in 1975.

Surviving are one son, Raymond, New Bedford; two daughters, Mrs. Dean (Bernadine) Mahan, California, and Mrs. Dorothy Billstrom, Bellflower, Calif., with whom she made her home; eight grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Edna Satterfield, Rock Falls.

She was preceded by her parents, her husband, two brothers and two sisters.
