HAROLD  L.  ADAMS

Prophetstown:  - Harold L. Adams, 77, died Tuesday at the Prophets Riverview Center, Prophetstown.  Graveside services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Riverside Cemetery with the Rev. Daniel Boxwell, pastor of the First Congregational Church, officiating.  Visitation is from 5- p.m. Thursday at the Gardner Chapel, Prophetstown.

Mr. Adams was born Jan. 29, 1904 in Seatonville, the son of Henry W. and Lula (Collings) Adams.  He was educated in the Seatonville and Standard communities.  He was united in marriage to Dorothy Bronson on Sept. 10, 1937 in Dubuque, Iowa.  He resided in the Prophetstown area since his marriage and was employed by the Eclipse Lawnmower Company and Penberthy Manufacturing, until his retirement in 1969.

He is survived by two nieces, Shirley Jaeger of New Port Richy, Florida and Virginia Straten of Lake Isabella, California, and two cousins, Leona Hudson of Kenosha, Wisconsin, and Chester Keiser of California.  He was preceded in death by his wife in 1966 and one half-sister.
