Raymond Musche

STERLING – Raymond F. “Pee Wee” Musche, 87, of 2201 E. LeFevre Road, Sterling, formerly of Tampico, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, at his home.

Raymond was born Nov. 23, 1922, in Thomas, the son of Peter and Augusta (Noe) Musche. He served in the Army during World War II. Raymond was united in marriage to Doris L. Sides on March 6, 1950, at Piggott, Ark. She preceded him in death on Jan. 25, 1991.

Raymond worked at Northwestern Steel and Wire Co., Sterling, in the shipping department for many years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tampico.

He is survived by one son, Gary (Linda) Musche of Rock Falls; one grandson, Eric of Rock Falls; one sister, Betty Eisle of Dixon; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Esther Rhodes of Prophetstown.

He also was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charles; and two sisters, Marian and Arlene.

Prayer service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Garland Funeral Home, Tampico, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tampico, with Monsignor Thomas L. Dzielak, officiating.

Burial with military honors will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Tampico. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established in his memory to Happy Tails Animal Shelter, Sterling, and Rock River Valley Hospice.
