JOHN  J.  SAATHOFF

Tampico: - John J. Saathoff, 84, of Rt. 1, died Friday at the Walnut Manor Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Yorktown Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Joyce Heintz, former pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in the Yorktown Cemetery.  Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Garlen Funeral Home.  A memorial has been established.

Mr. Saathoff was born July 26, 1905 in Benson, Ill., the son of John and Elfke Cirks Saathoff. He was a farmer in the Yorktown and Deer Grove areas during his lifetime. 

He is survived by two sisters, Annie and Minnie Saathoff, both at the Walnut Nursing Home; two nephews; one niece; and several other nieces and nephews.

He is preceded by his parents, six brothers and one sister.
