Walnut - Geraldine “Jolly” Bolbock, age 81 of Princeton, Illinois died Monday February 7, 2011 at Colonial Hall Rehabilitation Center in Princeton, Illinois.


She was born on November 21, 1929 in Manlius, Illinois, the daughter of Chester and Amelia (Rosenow) Hurst. “Jolly was jolly when young”. She was united in marriage to Robert Bolbock in Manlius, Illinois on February 5, 1950, he preceded her in death on April 18, 1973. She worked at Champion for over twenty years retiring in 1991. She was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir and was on the altar guild; was a vocalist throughout her life and enjoyed playing golf after her retirement. Jolly was always jolly.


Jolly is survived by one son Scott (Monica) Bolbock of Normal, Illinois; one daughter Jodi Bolbock of Princeton, Illinois; two granddaughters Emily and Becky; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, husband, one brother and one sister.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at St. Matthews Lutheran Church Princeton, Illinois
at 10:30 AM with Pastor Jeff Schlesiner, with a visitation from 9:30 till time of service. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 to 7 PM at Garland Funeral Home Walnut, Illinois. Cremation rites will be accorded and burial of ashes in Walnut Cemetery at a later date. A MEMORIAL HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED IN HER MEMORY TO ST. MATTHEWS LUTHERAN CHURCH PRINCETON IN LIEU OF FLOWERS.
