VIOLET  CORDELIA  MONKS

The funeral services of Violet Cordelia Monks, little daughter of Mrs. Sylvia Monks was held Saturday afternoon at the M. E. Church with Rev. H. C. Brown in charge of the service.  The little one was not quite eighteen months old but had won a large place in the hearts of the people as the large crowd and the abundance of beautiful flowrs testified.  The cause of her death was whooping cough which developed into pneumonia and the little body was not able to cope with the latter disease.  Burial was made in the Tampico Cemetery.
