Kathryn L. Forward,  80, of Pleasant View Nursing Home, Morrison, died Friday evening at Morrison Community Hospital.

A funeral prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Garland Funeral Home, Tampico. A 10 a.m. mass service, with Rev. James Tranel, officiating, will follow. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.  A memorial has been established.

Mrs. Forward was born April 24, 1908, in Deer Grove, the daughter of John and Olive Brophy.  She married Dean Forward on June 17, 1933. He died in 1973.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Tampico.

Surviving are one daughter, Helen (Mrs John) Buckley, Tampico; two grandchildren, Gerald Bradley, San Antonio; and Julie Green, Tampico; four great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
