HILDA  E. (Johnson)  ANDERSON 

Morrison:  - Hilda E. Anderson,  86, died Friday morning at the Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church. The Rev. Bruce Janes will officiate. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. There will be no visitation.  Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church.

 Hilda Anderson was born April 7, 1896 in Troy Grove, the daughter of Martin and Emma (Johnson) Johnson. She was educated in the Tampico schools and married Elmer Anderson Dec. 20, 1916 in Prophetstown.  He preceded her in death in 1979. She had resided in the Prophetstown area all of her life.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church and served as a Sunday School Teacher for 32 years, Portland Social Club, Federated Women's Club, Garden Club, American Legion Auxiliary, Royal Neighbors of America, and active in many other community organizations and projects.

 Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. John (Edith) Massey, Morrison; three sons, Robert E., James R., and Clarence, all of Prophetstown; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one sister, Ellen Kiner, Prophetstown.
