PROPHETSTOWN, Ill. — Fay E. Morgan, 84, of Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center, Prophetstown, IL, died Monday, March 3, 2008, at Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center, Prophetstown, IL. 


Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2008, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Brother Martin Stump, pastor of Erie Christian Church, Erie, IL, will be officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service Friday, March 7, 2008, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, IL.

Memorials may be made to Erie Christian Church, Erie, IL, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. 

He was born December 21, 1923, in York Township (Thomson), IL, to Lee I. and Elizabeth (Miller) Morgan. 

He was educated in rural Whiteside County schools. 

He married Vernabelle J. Buikema on December 30, 1947, in Fulton, IL; she died July 16, 2003. 

He was engaged in farming in the Fulton area for 7 years until moving to the Prophetstown area in 1955, where they farmed until retiring in 1994. While farming he was employed as a school bus driver for the Tampico School District for 18 years. 

He was a former member of the Tampico Church of Christ, Tampico, IL. He was a current member of Erie Christian Church, Erie, IL. He enjoyed camping and family vacations. 

Survivors include two sons, Larry (Nancy) Morgan of Bloomington, IL, and Rick (Chris) Morgan of Prophetstown, IL; one granddaughter, Jennifer (Jared) Harrison; three great-grandchildren, Jake, Johny and Jorgia Harrison; and one brother, Ray F. (Dee) Morgan Sr. of Clinton, IA.
