Lois J. Wetzell, age 76, of Rock Falls, Illinois, died on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling, Illinois.

Lois was  born on December 16, 1935 in Sterling, Illinois, the daughter of Albert and Hazel (Dirks) Conklen. She was united in marriage to Richard Wetzell on April 24, 1953 in Maquoketa, Iowa. She was a member of Tampico United Methodist Church and Choir, Rebecca's Circle and was a -H leader [sic]. 

Lois is survived by her husband, Richard of Rock Falls, Illinois; three sons, Rodney (Edna) Wetzell of Rock Falls, Illinois, Steve (JoEllen) Wetzell of Sterling, Illinois, Tom (Laurie) Wetzell of Rock Falls, Illinois, one daughter, Kathy (Randy) Ganschow of Mendota, Illinois; ten grandchildren, Heidi (Mike) Wiersema of Tolono, Illinois, Adam (Melissa) Wetzell of Fenton, Illinois, Christy Wetzell of Rock Falls, Illinois, Cory (Nicole) Wetzell of Oaklawn, Illinois, Nina Wetzell of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Danielle (Dylan) Wittig of Baileyville, Illinois, Allyson Wetzell of Rock Falls, Illinois, Justin (Gina) Ganschow of Sherwood, Arkansas, Jessalynn (Doug) DeSerf of Peru, Illinois and Jillian (Adam Sparks) Ganschow of Kissimmee, Florida; five great-grandchildren: Taylor and Austin Wiersema, Makayla Wetzell, Blake and Luke Wittig, one Uncle Gorge (Donna) Conklen of Sherman, Illinois, and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Tampico United Methodist Church with the Rev. Esther Lee, pastor officiating. Burial will be in the Tampico Memorial Cemetery, Tampico, Illinois.. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.. at Tampico United Methodist Church.

A memorial has been established in her memory to Tampico United Methodist Church  and Parkinson Foundation.
