DEATHS and FUNERALS

Frank R. Emmons Dies Early Thursday Morning

Frank R. Emmons of 400 8th Ave., Rock Falls, passed away early Thursday morning in Home Hospital following an extended illness. He had been hospitalized the past three days.

Mr. Emmons had spent the winter with his sisters in Florida and all had returned to Rock Falls March 29. He was born Nov. 21, 1881, in Rock Falls, son of Henrietta Baker and Will L. Emmons. He was educated in the Rock Falls grade and high schools.

Two daughters were born to his marriage with Mayme Cooley, Mrs. Arden (Nathalie) Martin and Miss Amy Emmons, both of California. Later Mr. Emmons was united in marriage with Mrs. Ollie Johnson of Rock Falls, and they moved to Colorado where she passed away in September 1959.

Surviving with the two daughters are two sisters and two brothers, Misses Hazel and Lula Emmons and Lloyd Emmons of Rock Falls and Floyd Emmons of Lyndon. Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, two sisters, and one brother, Florence, Pearl and Harry Emmons.

Mr. Emmons was a member of the Masonic order and of Tebela Shrine *********.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday in the family home at 400 8th Ave., Rock Falls. Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Woods Funeral Home and will be announced.

Funeral of Frank R. Emmons on Saturday

Funeral rites for Frank R. Emmons will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the family home at 400 8th Ave., Rock Falls, by the Rev. Ivan J. Obenshain of the Rock Falls Methodist Church. The burial will be made in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rock Falls.

Friends may call at the family home after 4 p.m. this Friday. The arrangements are in charge of the Woods Funeral Home.

Funeral of Frank R. Emmons On Saturday

Funeral for Frank R. Emmons were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the family home at 400 8th Ave.,, Rock Falls. The Rev. Ivan J. Obenshain, minister of the Rock Falls Methodist Church, officiated and burial took place in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rock Falls.

Members of the Masonic Lodge acting as pallbearers were Fred Johnson, John Kyger, Emery McNeil, John Wolf, George Davis and Paul Laursen.

Ladies from Rock Falls Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, taking care of the flowers were Mrs. Merlin Morrow, Mrs. Dwayne Ettinger, Mrs. Lawrence Sears and Mrs. Lawrence Pratt.
