PROPHETSTOWN – Darrell Charles ThompsonJr., age 49, died Monday, April 15, 2013 at Winning Wheels in Prophetstown. 
Darrell was born on November 30, 1963 in Waukegan the son of Darrell Charlesand Barbara Jean (Winters) Thompson, Sr. He is a former employee of The Advertiser in Antioch. 
Survivors include his mother of Grayslake; his father of Hayward, Wis.; one sister, DaraLynn D. Thompson of Antioch; and one brother, David John Thompson of Kenosha, WI.; great aunt, Shirley Doom of Grayslake, aunt Penny Odonnell of Florida; niece, Heather (Mike) Villarreal; two great nephews, Michael and Jonathan Villarreal all of Kenosha, WI. 
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harold and Mildred Winters and paternal grandparents Arthur and Tess Thompson
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 3:30 P.M. at Winning Wheels in Prophetstown. Arrangements were completed by the McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory in Rock Falls. 
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his memory.
