LeROY SWANSON
MORRISON - LeRoy Kenneth Swanson, 81, of 506 N. Madison St. Morrison, died Thursday, Maarch 29, 2007, at CGH Medical Center. He was employed by the former Whiteside Farm Service Inc. as fleet manager before retiring.
 
Mr. Swanson was born July 12, 1925, in Morrison, the son of Roy S. and Elizabeth (Montegomery) Swanson. He served in the Army during World War II. He married Mary (Ellen) Smith on Fe. 28, 1947. He was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church.
 
Survivors include his wife; two duaghrers, Marge (Normand) Simard of Ocala, Fla., and Jane (Ty) Simmons of Aurora; three sons, Loren (Margaret) Swanson of East Peoria, Ken (Sharon) Swanson of Morrison and Tim (Lourdes) Swanson of Carrolton, Texas; a sister, Eleanor Larson-Nice of Morrison; two brothers, Howard (Lois) Swanson of Fulton and Donald (Doris) Swanson ofLanark; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great=grandchildren.
 
He was preceded in death by a brother, Leslie Swanson; and a granddaughter.
 
Memorial service is at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Morrison United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Gary Curl, pastor, officiating. Burial is at Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison. visitationis from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the church. Arrangements were completed by Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, Morrison Chapel.
