Tampico - Delores M. Hamblock, age 76, of Tampico, Illinois died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown, Illinois.

Delores was born on December 30, 1935 in Yorktown, Illinois the daughter of Edward J. and Henrietta (Bruder) Taets. She was united in marriage to Joseph M. Hamblock in Clearwater, Florida and he preceded her in death on March 13, 1986. She was the former owner of Dee’s Flower and Gifts in Tampico, Illinois. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Tampico and a member of the Altar and Rosary at the church. Delores was a former member of the Long Range Planning Committee, Tampico Women’s Club and chairman of Christmas Committee in Tampico.+

She is survived by one daughter Melodie (Tom) Fritsch of Tampico, Illinois; two granddaughters; two great granddaughters; three great grandsons; two step-daughter Shirley (Ronald) Berge of Rockford, Illinois, Carol ( Robert) LeVoy of Rockford, Illinois; one stepson Joe Leo (Eva) Hamblock of Rockford, Illinois; one step son in law Larry Zitkus; several step grandchildren three brothers James B. Taets of Rock Falls, Illinois, Richard (Bernadette) Taets of Sterling, Illinois, and John (Linda) Taets of Tampico, Illinois; two sisters Diana (Kenneth) Braasch of Tampico, Illinois, Dawn (Tom) Cooney of Aurora, Illinois; and several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband ,one niece, and one stepdaughter Pat Zitkus.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tampico with Mgs. Thomas Dzielak, pastor officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Tampico. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. A MEMORIAL HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED IN HER MEMORY. Condolences may be sent to: www.garlandfuneralhome.com.
