LAMONT 'MONTE' MATHIAS, 47
Lamont "Monte" Mathias, 47, Loves Park, died at 1:30 p.m.,Tuesday, June 28, 1994,of an apparent homicide. Born Aug.26, 1946, in Kewanee,son of Russell David and Alma (Lamont) Mathias. Formerly employed by Chrysler Corp.for 16 years. Owned and operated M.C.Fabrication.Served two years in U.S. Army in Boulder, Colo., as instructor. Member Hell's Henchmen Motorcycle Club for 18 years. Prospective member Hell's Angels. Graduate of Tampico High School, Class of 1964. Survivors included his parents; one son, Michael Mathias, Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Kristina Mathias, Rockford, and Dawn Hillman, Phoenix; one stepdaughter, Laura Hawthorne; one brother, Russell, Rockford; two sisters, Rosalind (Homer) Reed, Pontiac, and Emily (William) Noe, Ankeny, Iowa; several nieces andnephews.
 
Services at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 2, in Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, with Willard N. Kelley, minister of Central Christian Church, officiating. Graveside services at 2 p.m.Saturday in Oak Knoll Cemetery, Sterling. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
